Antique French Bronze Vanity Plateau Mirror Tray – Rococo Revival

An elegant late 19th century French bronze vanity tray featuring a highly decorative Rococo Revival design. This ornately cast plateau mirror tray boasts a sinuous, asymmetrical form adorned with naturalistic scrolling foliage, rocaille curves, and floral accents—hallmarks of the Rococo aesthetic.

The bronze surface exhibits a beautifully aged patina with hints of original gilding remaining in recessed areas, offering a lovely contrast between matte and glinting highlights. The mirror is original, set within the heavy cast bronze frame, and framed by two integrated loop handles for display or functional use. The back has been updated for mirror support with contemporary hardware.

Perfect as a perfume tray, jewelry display, or centerpiece on a vanity or dresser. A striking blend of antique character and graceful artistry.

Condition:

Very good antique condition with expected signs of age and wear. Surface patina is uneven with areas of oxidization and wear to gilding. Mirror shows light spotting consistent with age. Structurally sound and displays beautifully.

Circa 1880–1900

France

A timeless decorative piece that brings romantic French elegance to any interior.
